Indeed, I must tell you that I often cringe when I hear politicians talk about affordable housing, and although it sounds like a great idea, and everyone would like to live in a nice home which is affordable, it negates the reality of supply and demand. If everyone is allowed to live in affordable housing, and mandates are put in place, then the construction companies won't be interested in building more homes, unless they can make money. If they are forced to work for low wages, they will build fewer affordable homes.
